What awaits you?
On this tour we will visit four beer halls in Cologne’s old town, each of which has its own history and around which many tales revolve. You will get to know the “Köbes” and understand why it is important to stand well with him. You’ll also learn how to stop getting new Kölsch when you’ve had enough, because Cologne brewpubs are all about stopping the supply when you’ve had enough.
Of course, a tour around Kölsch should not be without background knowledge about this special type of beer! Where can Kölsch be brewed? What distinguishes it from other German and international beers? Is it top or bottom fermented? Why was it invented? And why is it drunk from these small glasses?
Each of our guides has a unique style, prefers different brewpubs and has different stories to tell. We believe that this is what makes the tour truly authentic! Since we have no contract with any brewery, we are completely free in our selection and can present you the beer halls and Kölsch brands that we like best.

Why are the tours offered without included drinks?
We pay the same price as everyone else in every brewpub. By including the drinks we incur additional costs, which we of course have to pass on. Compared to the old option, where 4 Kölsch were included, you can enjoy one more Kölsch for the same price.
