This is highly recommended! Our public tours take place only if the minimum number of participants of 2 people is reached. When this minimum is reached, online bookings are possible until almost the last minute.
Unless otherwise agreed, we meet for all our Old Town tours (except the bachelor party tour) at Heumarkt (please do not confuse with Neumarkt!) in front of the corner store “Kiosk” directly between the tram tracks and “Ice Cream United”. For the bachelor party tour we meet directly at the “Dom im Stapelhaus” and for all tours in the Südstadt the meeting point is at the old city gate Severinstorburg at Chlodwigplatz. Tours usually end no more than a 10-minute walk from the meeting point. For private tours we can arrange individual meeting points. Just ask us!
Our regular public tours last at least two hours. Please inform your guide if you need to end the tour early. We can offer private tours of almost any length. Please select the desired option when booking the tour. The total length of the tour is about 1 km (10-15 minutes).
Yes, our tours run rain or shine! Please check the weather forecast and bring appropriate clothing. On nice days we will try to get seats on the terrace.
Yes, you can try the respective Kölsch in each brewery for a small price (calculate 2,50€ per Kölsch including tip).
We have made the experience that different groups drink different amounts and there are even people who do not drink beer at all 😮 In order to simplify the whole thing, give you more flexibility and offer you a cheaper tour, we have decided to offer the tours without inclusive drinks. We want to be transparent: We pay the same price for Kölsch in the breweries as any other guest. Due to the inclusive drinks, we would incur additional costs, for example, for accounting or payment fees at the time of booking. In order to offer the tour with 4 inclusive kölsch, we would have to offer it at a significantly higher price. Calculate with 2,50€ per Kölsch (including tip for the Köbes).
Of course, the traditional pubs and brewpubs serve soft drinks and wine – even if they don’t like it. But beware: these drinks are more expensive than beer (yes, even water and soft drinks!).
Unfortunately, we cannot bring you to a brewery. Although some breweries offer tours, they are often booked up weeks or even months in advance. Instead, we’ll take you to charming brewpubs and traditional pubs where you can experience the authentic hospitality of our beer culture. Because that is the heart of beer enjoyment in Cologne! You can visit breweries all over the world, and they often look alike. But the places we show you often have a history as former breweries.
You must be at least 18. Minors can participate in the tour accompanied by their parents.
You are welcome, our tours are a great opportunity to meet other travelers! However, please note that we have a minimum of 2 guests per tour. It is extremely unlikely, but if there are no other bookings, the tour might not take place. In such a case, we will inform you in time and either give you the opportunity to join another tour or refund the booking in full.
Online, through our booking portal you have the option to pay directly by credit card, instant bank transfer, iDeal or PayPal. For private tours you can also choose to pay by invoice and pay by bank transfer after receiving the invoice. For all other payment options please contact us!
